An Australian man is set to become the first person to make a living by selling a personalised, interactive digital wallet that uses QR codes.
Traditionally, most wallets are made of metal, and often require special software or a special device to open and use.
The new wallet, called Trayvox, is based on a smartphone app that allows users to create their own QR codes on a computer screen, and then scan them into the wallet.
“You can create a QR code that is in the wallet that allows you to enter your email address and a password,” Andrew Wojciechowski, the owner of Traypox, told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“And then it’s just scanned and the wallet opens.”
So you can create your own QR code in the app that then scans into your Trayxox wallet and that’s where you can access all your digital assets.
“Wojcieskowski told the paper that he started selling the QR code wallet after seeing a video on YouTube of a man who had spent hundreds of dollars on an expensive iPhone case.”
Traypax is currently available to buy for $1,499 on its website, and will be available for purchase on the company’s website by the end of January.”
He just had a whole bunch of it sitting around.”

A video on the website shows the user using the app to scan the QR codes in the Trayox wallet into a QR-code reader on a phone, and that then unlocks a wallet.
It is believed that this means the Trayspox wallet will be the first wallet that will accept bitcoin as payment.
