The iPhone is a popular and ubiquitous piece of technology, with more than half of the world’s population now using the device.
Its size has been a point of contention since its launch in 2007, with some people claiming the iPhone was too big, and others claiming its design was too thin.
With a new patent, Apple has now been able to finally say what size you can expect to get from the iPhone.
The patent, published on Friday, describes how a smartphone with an iPhone 5S could be made to have a thickness of between 5.5mm and 6mm, and it would also have an edge that would be thinner than an iPhone 6 Plus.
The patent also describes how an iPhone with a 5.7-inch display could be able to have an edges of between 3.6mm and 4.3mm.
While the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are the only iPhones that currently use the iPhone X, Apple says its patent application will be applied for next year.
Apple’s patent was filed back in March.
